Description: Adverse weather conditions have caused fading on a digital microwave backhaul. Customers would have experienced intermittent connections.
Action taken: Engineers and technicians have stabilised the fading. Normalisation activities may cause disruptions to service.

Please be aware that there is an outage pending for all Compass based services in Auckland. This is for hardware replacement that will be carried out as follows:

Compass is replacing an RF module in Auckland. A planned outage of up to 10 minutes within the specified window will affect all voice and data services that connect to this POP.

Please be aware that there is an outage pending for all Kordia based services in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. This is for switch firmware upgrades that will be carried out as follows:

Kordia is upgrading the firmware of core network switches in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The firmware upgrades will be carried out on one switch at a time. A planned outage of up to “15″ minutes within window per node

Outage Notification for Thursday the 18th of February 2010 – DNS server relocation

To further enhance the redundancy of our DNS serving platform DTS is moving one of its geographically diverse DNS servers (ns3.dts.net.nz) to a new location.
During this time any domain names or customers that are configured to use ns3.dts.net.nz [202.68.95.10] may notice degraded performance looking up domain names or DNS records.

Unplanned outage notification for the 7th of February 2010
Dear Customer,
Due to an urgent fault fix you may experience several switching breaks on your circuits carried by Kordia in the Lower North Island on Sunday. This is only a “reduction of diversity”, so other circuits will continue to carry your traffic.
